Almost 40 years ago Paul Schaben set out in his VW bus stocked with hardware and supplies, determined to provide folks at fairs and shows the best possible service.
He stayed in various motels while traveling between fairs and agricultural shows in the Midwest and quickly realized he loved staying in where they offered a hot tub. He found the buoyancy and warmth of the water, plus the massage provided by the jets, helped ease his arthritic hip – probably the result of a teenage accident. Paul soon developed a strong desire to help other people find the same relief with a spa that was both affordable and easy to set up – in those days spas got assembled piece-by-piece and took days to install.
Paul discovered Hot Springs Portable Spas in 1983. Impressed with their high quality and ease of installation, he decided to represent them. As home spas became more popular, he was more than pleased to see his spa customers genuinely delighted with their hot tub purchase.
